NSW SENIORS WEEK GRANTS

The Member for Dubbo Troy Grant has welcomed funding of $4,500 to help stage NSW Seniors Week events and activities in the electorate.

The NSW Government has allocated more than $175,000 in grants to communities across the State to recognise the outstanding contributions seniors make in the lives of their families and neighbourhoods.

Funding has been confirmed for the following:

Dubbo BUG affiliated with Bicycle NSW Seniors Discovery Bike Ride $500
Dubbo Neighbourhood Centre Dubbo Seniors Week Expo $1,000
Forbes Shire Council Seniors Luncheon and Expo $1,000
Narromine Daycare Seniors Concert And Luncheon $500
Eugowra Lions Club Inc. Eugowra Seniors Week Day Out And Luncheon $500
Parkes and District Community Information and Neighbourhood Centre Switched on Seniors 2013 $1,000

“Seniors make a tremendous contribution to our community through volunteering, mentoring and other activities, and Seniors Week is a great opportunity to recognise the outstanding work they do,” Mr Grant said.

“I congratulate the successful applicants for Seniors Week grants, and wish them every success with their events.”
