HARRIS FARM ON DUBBO'S RADAR

Tuesday, September 25, 2012
Harris Farm's desire to invest in Dubbo would no doubt be a welcome addition to the city, were the fruit and vegetable giant's online ordering concept receive council approval, the Member for Dubbo Troy Grant said.

"News that shoppers in Dubbo could be able to meet their produce needs through Harris Farm's online process by as early as next week, demonstrates the company's confidence in our local economy and its potential market for its goods," said Mr Grant.

Under the proposal customers would order online from the Harris Farm outlet at Orange.
A refrigerated truck would then bring their fresh produce to buildings within the old RAAF base where customers could drive through to pick up their goods.

"A successful uptake of the online service from Dubbo residents could build a case for a Harris Farm outlet here in town."
