The Member for Dubbo Troy Grant is inviting primary school students within the Dubbo electorate to take part in his first Christmas card competition.

Mr Grant launched the competition at Dubbo Public School today where he explained to the students that the winning design will front his official Christmas card, printed onto hundreds of cards sent to organisations and individuals.

The theme is 'Christmas in the bush'.

"This is a community project giving the children in the Dubbo electorate the chance to showcase their creativity and talents," said Mr Grant.

"The children will have at number of weeks to send in an entry so I hope that lots of schools will take up the challenge and get involved."

All entries must be A4 in size and be able to be reproduced, no cotton or glitter please. Entries must not be folded and the artist’s name, age and school should be clearly marked on the reverse of each entry.

All entries must be sent and received by 5.00pm on Monday 5th November 2012.

A presentation for the winning entry will occur at a convenient time in December.
